Getting to Paisley
Located just 10 mins from Glasgow, Paisley is easily accessible from across the UK and further afield.
By Air
Paisley is just a five minute drive from Glasgow Airport, which is served by over 30 airlines. From the airport, you may choose to travel to Paisley by taxi or McGill’s 575 bus service which leaves from just outside the main terminal and will take you to Paisley Gilmour Street Station.
By Train
Paisley is less than a 15 minute journey from Glasgow Central Station, with regular services operating between the two stations. More info can be found at Scotrail.
By Car
Paisley town centre is easily accessible by car, being located just off the M8 motorway. We have a small number of onsite car spaces reserved for blue badge holders who wish to attend the conference. If you are a blue badge holder and wish to reserve a parking at UWS Paisley campus then please contact us via lsa2024@uws.ac.uk . Unfortunately, we do not have any additional car parking spaces for LSA delegates. However, paid parking can be found in the Paisley Centre carpark.
Accommodation
Paisley:
Located in Paisley and near Glasgow International Airport, Glynhill Hotel and Spa is our partner hotel. Glynhill offers a range of twin and double rooms, access to the hotel’s spa – comprising of a pool, gym, sauna and steam room – is included with all bookings. The hotel is located approximately 2 miles from the UWS Paisley campus. Bus number 26 runs from the Glynhill Hotel to Johnston Street, a short walk from UWS Paisley campus.

Glasgow City Centre
