Barcelona’s FestSpace team has produced a short video to bring together the objectives of the research and to summarise its key outcomes. It includes the perspective of the five cities participating via the contributions of the principal investigators of the project, members of their teams and some stakeholders.

‘Au revoir’ FESTSPACE & CCSE (But Hopefully Not An ‘Adieu’!) 👋

This Thursday, I complete my last day at UWS before I move back to France to start a permanent job as a Lecturer in Geography at the University of Amiens. As I have been a member of CCSE over the last two years as a Postdoctoral Fellow on the FESTSPACE project, I thought that it would be a good time to pen some reflections on my time here.

Whose Festival is it Anyway?

I was invited to contribute to a conference organised by The Cockburn Association titled ‘Whose Festival is it Anyway’ on Saturday 31st January. The conference featured panels exploring Edinburgh’s Festivals – past, present and future. I participated in a panel chaired by well-known broadcaster, Stephen Jardine, focused on Cultural Tourism and the Festivals: What will be the ‘new normal’?
